I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on Friday night and I loved it. I heard a lot of complaints about it not being "action-packed enough" because it was mainly about character development but it was totally sweet....mainly...because I truly believe most of the characters were high. Think about it: (Spoilers)
One. Luna Lovegood. She's always been high throughout the series but she was especially out-of-it in this film with her funky 3-D glasses, lion mascot headress and overall baked appearance and attitude towards others. Her drug of choice: shrooms.
I'd most likely be her character although my date said I looked more like Draco Malfoy...he quickly recanted his statement after I pouted several times. I'll take his hair color though...
Two. Ron Weasley. When he's under the love spell (which Jon and I agreed would probably be muggle Ecstacy), he starts loving everything/everyone, having swift mood changes and ends up having a seizure (the result of 'poisoned' ale).
Three. Harry Potter. When he took the truth serum, he looked baked out of his mind. His random chuckling, faces and greetings to strangers lead us to believe that his drug of choice was probably marijuana. When he attended the spider's funeral and imitated it by making a clawing motion near his chin, I nearly peed my pants.
Four. Draco Malfoy. The scene in the bathroom (before he and Harry fight) when he's freaking out and sweating was probably due to muggle cocaine.
Five. Professor Slughorn. This dude was drunk 99% of the movie and I loved every second of it. His eyes, crooked smile and just overall demeanor were spot-on.
Six. Lavender Brown. This girl was just bat-crazy. My guess is she pops pills.
I could go on but those are the creme de la creme. Overall, I loved the movie and I can't wait to see Deathly Hallows.
